Two weeks ago, Tug Fork Apartments, a Pratum community in Turkey Creek, Kentucky, experienced severe flooding, which FEMA declared a national disaster. The floodwaters rose three feet high, displacing 54 families and causing significant loss of homes, vehicles, and personal belongings. Snow, mud, and ongoing rain have only added to the devastation, making an already heartbreaking situation even more challenging.

But when disaster struck, this community didn’t stand alone—helping hands were everywhere.

A huge shoutout to Sherraine Rawlins-Bacchus CPM Candidate, DC Licensed, NAHP-E, ARM, COS, TCS, Monica Henman, Boo Nickle, and the incredible site staff who worked tirelessly to bring a sense of normalcy back to our residents. From ensuring people were warm, dry, and secure, to working with FEMA and the American Red Cross, their support made all the difference. It was a true team effort—one fueled by compassion and care.

Recovery is underway, and while the road ahead won’t be easy, remediation is already in progress. We are hopeful families will soon be back in their homes, rebuilding what was lost.

In times of challenge, we take root together—your kindness and support make all the difference.
